The School and its Facilities:
St Bede’s is situated on an attractive site in the heart of Ormskirk, adjacent to our Parish church St Anne’s and immediately accessible from the A59.
St Bede’s was built in 1957 and consists of very pleasant and well-equipped buildings. There have been further developments over recent years with the addition of two new buildings. More recently there has been a complete redevelopment of the Sports Centre and our 3g Astro Pitch was fully resurfaced in 2023.
Our facilities include:
A brand new 3g Astro pitch.
State-of-the-art Sports facilities.
An art and design area.
6 science laboratories.
4 Computer rooms equipped with computers and high-speed internet connection.
An extremely well-appointed music suite.
An excellent, state-of-the-art drama/dance studio.

The sporting facilities include:
Large sports hall with superb facilities for indoor cricket, 5-a-side football, basketball, badminton and many other sports.
Gymnasium.
9 V 9, all-weather, floodlit synthetic 3g Astro pitch for soccer, hockey, and netball.
Changing rooms.
2 grass pitches.
Additional facilities:
Prayer room.
An outstanding library/resources area with additional computer facilities.
Green spaces for pupils to enjoy and cultivate plants, vegetables, and fruits.
Future Developments:
As we continue to modernise, classrooms are now equipped with large 65-inch monitors.
